T-Mobile USA released its Q4 2007 results, which included an increase in service revenue and new subscribers.

The wireless carrier added 951,000 net new subscribers in Q4 2007, up from 901,000 for the same quarter in 2006. T-Mobile also boasts that more than 3.6 million total new customers came to the carrier in 2007 and cites its myFaves program as being the reason for much of its success.

T-Mobile USA continues to be profitable with US$4.4 billion in total service revenues during the quarter, up almost 15% from the Q4 2006. T-Mobile reported that its Q4 blended subscriber churn rate of 2.8%, a figure that can't match rival Verizon's performance, which was recently reported to be a very low 1.8%. Blended customer churn rate indicates the percentage of post-paid and pre-paid customers that leave a carrier in a given time period.

T-Mobile subscribers used SMS and MMS messaging extensively, having sent 24 billion such messages in Q4, compared to the prior year's 13 billion. Data revenue continues to be significant for the carrier's increased ARPU despite its lack of 3G coverage in the States.

T-Mobile recently completed its acquisition of SunCom Wireless, which it hopes will further enhance its GSM/EDGE coverage of the U.S. T-Mobile also captured its seventh consecutive J.D. Power and Associates Award for Customer Care.
